From Blazing Saddles to The Hangover: Athletes who crashed Hollywood


Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is no stranger to the big screen. The former University of Miami defensive lineman has appeared in everything from "Tooth Fairy" to "Baywatch" to several installments of "The Fast and the Furious" franchise.
"DodgeBall" and "Skyscraper" director Rawson Marshall Thurber on his love of sports, of sports films and directing Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Kyrie Irving has made his first foray onto the silver screen, starring as the title character of "Uncle Drew," a spin-off from his popular character in the Pepsi Max commercial that also features plenty of former NBA stars.
With Irving's big-screen debut already in theaters and Johnson's latest release, "Skyscraper," set to debut Friday, we take a look at some of the most memorable roles athletes from all sports have played in movies.
